July 5, 2023 Columbus, OH – Black Doctors USA, Inc. today announced that Dr. Aqeila Shepherd will be joining Black Doctors USA as the Executive Vice President of Recruitment, effective July 5, 2023. Dr. Shepherd is a welcome addition to the leadership team of Black Doctors USA, consisting of an esteemed group of physicians from around the country.
Dr. Aqeila Shepherd has over 14 years of education and diverse healthcare experience and is the Founder and CEO of The Luxe Concierge Physical Medicine, PLLC and Luxe Life Wellness, PLLC. Dr. Shepherd is a pioneer in the development of a new paradigm in medicine. Her expansive experience in the hospital, biomedical research, integrative health, and private practice sectors synergistically creates a unique perspective on how we can approach medicine from an elevated vantage point.

Dr. Shepherd has worked on novel projects with NIH, mentored undergraduate students, taught scholastic STEM courses at North Carolina Central University, conducted novel community clinical projects and research in metabolic disorders, and collaborated with various community leaders in healthcare initiatives that are dedicated to, and streamlined for, the elevation of Black health.
“My goal as the EVP of Recruitment is to influx the talent, influence, and impact that the new, emerging, and evolving generation of doctors work so hard to provide to the medical community,” states Dr. Shepherd. “My initial focus will be collaborating on various projects that directly serve and provide access to healthcare within the Black Community, and strengthening our mentorship opportunities, among other priorities that will impact the expansion of BDUSA.”
For over a decade, Black Doctors USA has provided a platform for African-American physicians and healthcare providers alike, with solutions catered to their needs for support and growth, and the end goal of improving health disparities within minority populations.
